In 1974 starting with a hacksaw and a welder, A.S. Fabricating Inc. was created. “Big things can start small.” The owner, Addison Sharpe, used his story to inspire us to do big and never give up on our dreams. He truly advocated for using your natural talent and interests when choosing a career.

Patti Sharpe spoke of how when the economy is both boomin’ and down, someone always needs something done. “Just because trade jobs may not be looked at as prestigiously as an office job with a degree, trade workers are essential.”

We wrapped up our visit with Brad Sharpe as he showed us how a machine worth a hundred thousand dollars, uses plasma to carve out designs on metal. This used to be done by hand. 49 years later they provide their service to manufacturers, families, and anyone who asks as long as they can do it.
