✨ Guest Speaker Spotlight: Jamie Storey ✨
CEO students had the privilege of learning from Jamie Storey, Executive Director of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, CEO Board Member, Mentor Coordinator, and small business owner of Pyramid Powder Coating.
Jamie trained our young entrepreneurs on the importance of effective communication in both business and life. She shared a practical list of do’s and don’ts for professional communication, encouraging students to:
✔️ Do your research before meeting someone
✔️ Be able to put a face to a name
✔️ Show up as your best self every day
She also highlighted the power of a handwritten thank you note, reminding us that while it’s a lost art, it’s one that truly sets you apart. Notes should be well-written, timely, and filled with gratitude—and yes, she even demonstrated the proper way to address an envelope!
Jamie closed with a powerful reminder about leadership:
💡 “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”
We are grateful for her time, insight, and dedication to helping our students jumpstart their CEO experience.
