๐ŸŒŸ CEO Spotlight Visit ๐ŸŒŸ

Today our Jefferson County CEO students had the opportunity to visit The Medicine Shoppe in Mount Vernon, hosted by business owner and CEO Board Chair, Eric Black.

The Medicine Shoppe, founded in 1984 and later expanded into medical equipment in 2002, has always been more than just a pharmacyโ€”itโ€™s a community partner. Eric shared how being community-minded, not corporate sets them apart. Their focus is on building relationships, adding value, and delivering personal, quick service that meets each customerโ€™s unique needs.

From helping older adults with pre-packaged medications to offering custom compounding, The Medicine Shoppe goes the extra mile to ensure people get exactly what they need. Excellence, trust, and doing what you say youโ€™ll do are at the core of their business model.

Eric also reminded students that supporting local matters, that not all business is good businessโ€”it has to be the right fitโ€”and that great employees come from constructive feedback and a culture of care.

๐Ÿ’ก A big thank you to Eric for showing us how passion, trust, and service can build a lasting business that truly supports its community.
