Asa Newell

About Me

Asa Newell is a senior at Waltonville Highschool. He is the Reporter for the Waltonville FFA chapter. He is also involved in basketball, Youth & Government, and FBLA. Asa is a hard working Individual working for neighbors and local businesses. He also volunteers his time for many cancer fundraising organizations such as Ash Bash and Giving Hope, where he has shared his fight with cancer in hopes to bring others comfort from his story. After high school Asa would like to spend a year at Rend Lake before moving on to a four-year university in southern Illinois where he would like to get his MBA with a focus on finance. Asa dreams to someday be the CEO of his own business in Mt. Vernon and help shape the local community, as well as running for an Illinois senate seat someday.

"I am very excited and motivated to be a key member of the CEO program. I hope to make many contacts with local business professionals as well as, business ethics, and to see how diverse the Local economy really is. I know this program will help me grow to be the best I can be."
